Sami Sun Ring

Sami Sun Ring

Made in collaboration with Sami artisans who inhabit the Arctic circle, this Sun ring features a hand-carved reindeer antler crescent-shaped cabochon, etched with the ancient Sami symbol of the sun - an important symbol in Sami mythology - then inlayed with india ink to bring out the design.  Looks great on its own or stacked with our Moon ring.

Reindeer antlers are shedded naturally and harvested once a year. You can see our Sami carver at work along with his beautiful herd of reindeer in the 'about' section - a true craftsman with over 40 years experience in shepherding and scrimshaw carving. We've worked closely together to create a modern twist on ancient Sami styles, and make something luxurious, beautiful and sustainably-sourced.

Reindeer horn cabochon, etched with a Sun shape and then set into a crescent shaped ring.

Crescent shaped measures approx 0.7cm high x 1.3cm wide, sits 0.3cm above finger and bands measure approx 0.15cm wide.

Handmade in our London studio from 100% recycled silver and comes beautifully packaged in recycled boxes.
