Celebrating Pride Month: Wear it with Pride this June (and support Switchboard)
As a big supporter of the LGBT+ community, I know how important Pride is.
It not only symbolises equality and visibility, but also legal rights - including the freedom to marry (as one of my best friends did with her girlfriend last September). But while Pride has been cancelled this year and lots of weddings are on-hold, I still want to do my bit and show my support.
Anyone who buys a ring or anything else today or this weekend (Friday 26th - Sunday 28th June - whether that’s just for a friend or for that certain someone special), I’m going to donate 20% of profits to Switchboard, the LGBT+ helpline.
This amazing charity provides information and support for whole LGBT+ community, plus they can advise on how to deal with anxiety during these testing times. And the best thing is they don’t judge, they just want to help. You can find out more here.
I know what I’m doing is only a tiny thing, but I believe even small businesses like mine can show support in times like these. And if a jewellery designer doesn’t believe love is love, what hope have we?!?!
Here’s hoping we can celebrate Pride together again soon.
